Quality Notebooks for Writers and Stationery Lovers

One of the most important tools in any writer's toolbelt is a notebook. Us writers like to have paper notebooks everywhere. You might have a notebook and pen beside your bed at night for writing ideas down. You might have a few notebooks at your desk, each with a different purpose. You might have notebooks in the kitchen, loungeroom and everywhere else you might go around the house so you always have something to write on. You might fill your notebooks with writing ideas, with lists, or with your general thoughts. As an aspiring writer, I know that every writer needs some great notebooks to inspire great writing.

What makes a great notebook?

There are a few things that I love about a notebook. Firstly, I love to have a hard-covered notebook. A linen-bound or leather-bound notebook feels luxurious, and I know that it will survive being thrown into a backpack or handbag, and I know it will be used many, many times without showing signs of wear. I love the quality look and feel of a cover, and I love that it keeps my writing safe.

Secondly, I love writing on quality, lined paper in my notebooks. Although I also love dot and bullet journals, for writing anything for any extended periods, lined notebooks are perfect. Quality paper also adds to the experience of writing in a lined notebook. With quality paper, writing doesn't push through to the pages behind, and you can easily write on both sides without ink leaking through or showing.

Finally, I am also a fan of a cute design on the front cover of a notebook. A cute design is what always attracts me to a new notebook when shopping. A cute design could be anything from a colourful repeating pattern to a cute animal on the front of the notebook. There is just something special about a notebook with a cute cover design. When selecting the notebooks to go into this journal, I enjoyed choosing all the different notebook cover designs, and I know there will be a cover design that will appeal to every different writer.
